Whether a student chooses to immediately enter the workforce, or chooses an industry recognized certificate program or a more traditional 2 or 4 year path, CAREER can help. The Office of Educator Effectiveness and Licensing maintains high standards for licensing educators to work in Indiana’s P-12 schools. Qualified persons preparing and delivering classroom instruction is our main goal.
Professional learning is important for teachers and counselors to remain current on building awareness and skills, understanding current trends and finding and developing resources. Both teacher and counselor resources access the e-learning tools for professional development.
The Indiana State Board of Education approves the academic standards for all content areas. Current standards are the result of a process designed to identify, evaluate, synthesize, and create high-quality, rigorous standards for Indiana students.
