The Office for Career and Technical Schools (OCTS) provides Indiana accreditation, the authorization to operate a non-degree granting, non-credit bearing postsecondary proprietary (for-profit) educational institution, in Indiana. OCTS provides accreditation at the institutional level and does not include program or curriculum approval. OCTS’ accreditation requirements are regulatory set forth by IC 22-4.1-21 and is not a license. Indiana’s Promoted Industry Certifications is a list of certifications that have undergone a rigorous process for inclusion and promotion in the state. To be included on the list, a certification must be both recognized and valued by industry, must have transference to post-secondary training programs and must lead to quality employment.

Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires local/regional boards to develop training plans as part of the overall regional plan. Each plan is available online for review.
